Linguaphone has has produced Alltalk programs in four different European languages: Spanish, French, German, and Italian. It is made in the UK so there are a few differences for American speakers but it is all understandable. The program takes you through the experience of an English speaking person going to a foreign country (Spain, France, etc...) and having to slowly learn the language through their guide and experience. It supplements the story and dialogs with review of vocabulary and brief notes.
I personally really like this program because it is so fun! It can be cheesy at times but, for the most part, it feels like you're right there in another country, learning the language. I have done the Spanish program and I am currently doing the French one. While it starts off on an introductory level, I would recommend the Alltalk courses after you have learned at least a little of the language from another source because there are some conversations that aren't completely explained.
Has anyone else used an Alltalk program? What are your opinions of them?
